Definition

The objective is to validate the Manufacturing assembly and test process before launching full production. Activities include:

Check availability of pilot production documents and materials
Produce pre-production series
Perform testing
Analyze manufacturability
Register and deliver pre-production series
Finalize system information
Prepare for production start

This step should start at the beginning of the development stage
This step overlaps with the end of the Prototypes step
This step overlaps with the Process Validation step
The end of the step triggers production Product Release

Deliverables
Delivery of Pilot units to Atrica.
Pilot Build report including Final assembly & test yields.
Process validation documents for Manufacturability and Testability- Process Readiness.
